(ប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រ) prehistory, prehistoric science, prèhistoire (science préhistorique) វិទ្យាសាស្ត្រ ឬ មុខវិជ្ជា (discipline) ដែលសិក្សាអំពីអ្វីៗដែលបានកើតឡើងមុនពេលមនុស្សចេះប្រើប្រាស់អក្សរ។ ឧ. ជំពូកថ្មីមួយក្នុងបុរេប្រវត្តិវិទ្យាខ្មែរ ឥឡូវនេះបានចាប់ផ្ដើមហើយ។ A new chapter in Khmer prehistory has now been opened.
