Usage[កែប្រែ]

Use this template to show the simple definition for an entry that is an alternative spelling of a primary entry. (It is preferable to use this template to create a simple alternative-spelling article such as second guess rather than a redirect: the simple article can later be expanded with the alternative's specifics, such as etymology or quotations.)

Parameters[កែប្រែ]

  • {{{1}}} (required): The entry to link to.
  • {{{2}}} (optional): The text to be shown in the link to the entry. If empty or omitted, {{{1}}} will be automatically used.
  • {{{3}}} (optional): A gloss.
  • {{{tr}}} (optional): A transliteration.
  • {{{sc}}} (optional): The script code. See Wiktionary:Scripts.
  • {{{lang}}} (optional): The language code. See Wiktionary:Languages.
  • {{{dot}}} (optional): A character, or an empty string, to replace the dot.
  • {{{nodot}}} (optional): If nodot=1, then no automatic dot will be shown.
  • {{{cap}}} (optional): The lowercase or uppercase version of the first letter.
  • {{{nocap}}} (optional): If nocap=1, then the first letter will be in lowercase.

Parameters from, from2, from3, from4, and from5 can be used to indicate regions where the spelling is used as the primary spelling in that region (as for kilometre and kilometer, but not when the spelling is only an alternative regional spelling: for that use a regional context label followed by {{alternative spelling of|...}}). The regions used should be names of regional context labels or, if no appropriate label exists, plain text. E.g.,

# {{alternative spelling of|[[kilometre]]|from=US|from2=Canada}}

gives

  1. ការប្រកបUS and Canadaនៃ kilometre

Example[កែប្រែ]

E.g., on "second guess":

==English==

===Verb===
{{en-verb|second guess|es}}

# {{alternative spelling of|[[second-guess]]}}

Gives:

English

Verb

to second guess
  1. ការប្រកបឆ្លាស់នៃ second-guess
