Usage notes

The letter represented the open front unrounded vowel: Lua error in Module:IPA/templates at line 25: Please enter a language code in the first parameter. The value "/a/" is not valid... Today, this letter is often represented by lower case α (a), although Ancient Greek did not distinguish between upper and lower case.
